Regular cosmetic maintenance really does enhance the value of your vehicle
What is vehicle valeting?
A valet is a popular way for owners to have their vehicle cleaned and polished or waxed, using a range of equipment and products to enhance and maintain the appearance and resale value. Valets come in many forms, with the most thorough including washing, polishing and waxing the bodywork, dressing tyres and exterior plastics, cleaning wheels, glass and door shuts.
All in all a pretty thorough process, including a thorough clean of the interior, whilst vacuuming and incorporating a range of chemicals to clean the trim, upholstery and carpets.
The most thorough valets also include decontamination of your paintworks – think of all of the undesirable things your vehicle paintwork comes into contact with!
How is detailing different?
Whether a brand-new or a used vehicle, both benefit significantly from detailing. When looking at the above description of a valet, you would could be forgiven for thinking this is as good as it gets when it comes to cleaning your car, van or motorcycle. Detailing, however takes this process even further, introducing the use of more tools and abrasive products, designed to (in the right hands) enhance the vehicle finish, removing marks, swirls, blemished and imperfections or minor scratches. Tools specifically designed to catch the hard-to-reach areas and tricky bits are used throughout – hence the name detailing!
The result is a vehicle that looks as good as, if not better than new and a finish that will last significantly longer. A real investment in your vehicle, with a range of options to protect the finish achieved for significantly longer than that of a polish or wax.
